Here we have a nice twist on a 5" gauge Ajax. The loco has been a runner in the past and has been dismantled at some point and as so often when people start to strip down locos the project has then stalled before things could be put back together. The saddle tank presently mounts right back against the cab as shown, but Mark is holding the tank in the 4th photograph where it would be much more sensibly nudged forward to, giving it much more aesthetically pleasing lines!
It looks reasonably well made, and certainly all the major bits are present for a pretty rapid re-assembly.
We have a huge amount to get uploaded to the website at the moment so more words to follow shortly, but for now have a good look at the photos to give you the general idea.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
